College process following allocation of partner institution by ANU Global Programs:
- Students should provide the College with:
- a statement identifying which courses they are seeking to undertake at their partner institution, ideally including a number of alternative options beyond a full study load
- an indication of majors/minors/specialisations and any elective major/minors they are seeking to complete
- an indication of their study plan following their return to ANU (however complete or incomplete this is)
- The College will provide a formal letter of agreement stating any courses the student is approved to undertake at their partner institution and what credit will be granted towards their ANU program upon successful completion of each course.
- The student can then enrol in pre-approved courses at their partner institution and in the ANU exchange shell code.
- Upon return to ANU, the student will need to provide an academic transcript from their partner institution indicating the successful completion of their courses. The college will then apply credit toward the student’s ANU program according to the formal agreement in 2.
All documentation and correspondence can be sent to science.enquiries@anu.edu.au.
Advice for Incoming exchange students
This document should be read in conjunction with the ANU Global Programs advice on applying for exchange at ANU.
College process following confirmation of your offer by ANU Global Programs:
- In the lead-up to the start of your semester at ANU, we will assess your course selection and communicate with you about your course approvals. If an ANU course has strict prerequisites (listed on the course page under the ‘study’ tab) we may need you to provide information such as detailed course outlines from your home institution to ensure that you have met the requirement for prior study. Please ensure you monitor your email account during this time.
- Incoming exchange students are encouraged to attend ANU and College orientation events in the week prior to the start of Semester.
- If you need academic support at any time during your study at ANU your course conveners can assist you, or you are welcome to make a more formal appointment through the College’s Student Appointments page.
