To set out the principles for creation and maintenance of Honours Pathway Options (HPOs) and Honours Pathway Courses (HPCs) for inclusion in the Science HPO/HPC List.

HPOs and HPCs provide students an opportunity to develop skills relevant to Honours throughout their undergraduate degree. They are a defining feature and requirement of Advanced Science degrees. This document sets out the principles for assessment, availability, pre-requisite knowledge and other factors in the consideration of an inclusion of a HPO or HPC on the Science HPO/HPC list. Once approved by the College Education Committee, HPO and HPC are labelled as such on Programs and Courses.
